Eureka Springs, Arkansas' Historic District Tram Tours

Eureka Springs Dining

For groups of 11 or more people we offer a discounted price of $11.00 per person for adults.

Group Tours on the Tram are available any time throughout the year, not just April through October.

For groups that are traveling together in a van, mini-bus or full size motorcoach, we offer an extended tour of Eureka Springs, which also includes the Historic District Tram Tour.

However, in addition to the tram tour, we provide a tour guide for you that will ride with you in your vehicle (van, bus, motorcoach) and will give you even more in-depth information about Eureka Springs.

The "Full Tour" as we call it, includes visits to The Christ of the Ozarks Statue at the Passion Play property. Even if you're seeing the Passion Play while you're here, this part of our local tour is not at all redundant with anything you will learn from the employees you meet and encounter at the Passion Play property.  Our narration concentrates on the history of how everything got started there. We talk about Mr. and Mrs. Gerald L.K. Smith, the founders of The Smith Foundation. We talk about how Mr. Smith, found the man who would become the sculptor and designer of The Christ of the Ozarks Statue, Mr. Emmett Sullivan. This story will really amaze you. No kidding! We also give all the dimensions and facts about the construction of the statue.

After leaving the statue, we will tell you several things about The Passion Play itself. About the cast, the sound and lighting, animals, buildings, etc. We will also mention some of the other buildings and points of interest available at the Passion Play property. We will also explain how the Passion Play put Eureka Springs, "Back on the map" so to speak!

The "Full Tour" also includes a visit to the world famous Thorncrown Chapel. The inspiring story about this building will truly touch your heart. This chapel was designed by the same architect that designed Sam Walton's (Wal-Mart) home, as well as the home of Arkansas' former Governor Orvil Faubus. Thorncrown Chapel was the idea of a retired school teacher and his wife, NOT a minister. You will be very impressed to find out that this building was nominated as "The best designed building of the 20th Century" by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 2000. You will be amazed to find out how it did in that competition! Keeping in mind that this is a one room building that is 24 feet wide, 48 feet tall and 60 feet long...built almost entirely out of glass! Many people consider this part of our tour "the highlight" of their entire trip, not just their local tour! Find out and decide for yourself!

After visiting the statue and the chapel we will then unload from your vehicle to ours. We will board the tram and begin our tour through the beautiful historic district! You will have the same tour guide throughout your entire local tour!  The "Full Tour" lasts approximately 3 1/2 hours, and must start on the hour. We can begin the "Full Tour" as early as 8:00 AM and as late as 4:00 PM.

The cost of the "Full Tour" is $15.00 per person, which does include the cost of the tram also.  It does not include a gratuity for your local guide, as we leave that up to you. $2 to $3 per person is a suggested amount for an average gratuity for your guide on a Full Tour. $1 to $2 on Tram only.
